Callander in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

Callander - the Rob Roy CentreAbout Callander

The Trossachs in Scotland Hotels and the eastern gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, surrounded by wonderful scenery of mountains and lochs - this is Callander.

Callander is located on the A84 road from Stirling to Fort WIlliam and is about 1/2 hours drive from Stirling. A frequent bus service operates between Stirling and Callander. A less frequent service beyond Callander is operated by 'First Bus' and other carriers to Oban and Fort William.

Callander is probably the most popular resort in the Trossachs National Park. Ideally located close to Lochs with easy access into the hills and glens of Strathyre and the Trossachs, Callander has a very definite holiday feel about it, rich in the history of the area and crammed with woollen mills, shops, crafts and souvenir shops. Callander's attractions include the Hamilton Toy Museum on Main Street, two large mill shops in Callander offering great tartan and textiles, plus other Scottish knitwear gifts, Scottish fine foods and Whisky shops. Visit Kilmahog Woollen Mill, Kilmahog near Callander. A holiday in Callander, with a Highland hills backdrop and the River Teith running alongside it, could be the holiday you'll never forget.
